Wanted: Ambitious Sales & Business Development Director to form our new Sales Organization

About the role

As Director of Sales & Business Development you will have a significant role in the scaling and professionalization of PARK NOW’s business with car manufacturers. As such you will report directly to the Managing Director.

Backed by our strategy, you will be responsible for building and developing your sales & business development team, an effective team of expertly qualified, top-notch sales and business development professionals in order to achieve our ambitious goals to integrate PARK NOW into every connected car produced by global automotive OEMs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Defining and executing the automotive sales strategy line with the global strategy of PARK NOW
  • Hiring and building a team with a strong “Can Do” attitude as well as strong Sales, Business Development, Project and Partner Management skills
  • Responsible for continuous business development and sales performance 
  • Owning and preparing customer proposals for new and existing business opportunities
  • Ensuring high standards regarding commercial negotiations, customer service & satisfaction, and contract quality
  • Close collaboration and alignment with the Director of Automotive Solutions on strategy, organization, and prioritization of the various upcoming opportunities and challenges
  • Monitoring and understanding market needs and transferring them into the organization
  • Delivering top line as defined for the automotive segment in business plan and budget
  • Collaborating globally, regionally, and internally as needed to foster good working relationships and team spirit towards peers and direct reports
  • Providing relevant reports to top management

 

Requirements

You’re an enthusiastic, innovative sales leader who never settles for ‘good enough'. You have:

  • 4+ years of experience in managing a sales team ideally for a tier-1 OEM supplier in the automotive industry
  • Experience and strong network especially into Digital and Engineering departments of car manufacturers, combined with a strong business acumen, ability to drive sales processes and commitment to relationship building with global customers
  • Strong competency in digital products and ecosystems, consultative sales processes and solution selling; experience in the parking industry or (sat) navigation business is beneficial
  • Solid experience and motivation in hiring and developing diverse sales and business development positions into an effective team of top-notch sales professionals
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical requirements
  • High self-motivation, pragmatism, and can-do attitude
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, German would be an asset, any other language beneficial
  • Flexible to substantial travel internationally
