About the role

We are looking for a Head of Product Insights to join the Global Product team to lead integrating data and insights into our product decisions. Working closely with Product Managers, you will guide product development with relevant insights based on analysis. You will create data sets, design analysis, provide rigorous reporting and make recommendations based on this to be key driver of our product roadmap.

You are focused on impact, and have the skill to understand customers, product architecture and promote growth. You should demonstrate curiosity, data fluency, and a passion for driving decisions based on data as we need you to be the ambassador within the company. 

You are an expert in this field and you will lead a part of our transformation for our global team into being data driven with deep insights. You will teach and mentor the product managers how to instrument and gather data across our portfolio of Mobile, Machine learned algorithms and smart city platforms. 

 

Your Responsibilities

  • You will work with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to understand project goals, determine measurements, monitor performance, and explore our customers 
  • You'll translate broad questions into plans for research and discovery, perform data exploration, and craft narratives from data insights for non-technical team members that caters to clear storytelling and applicable recommendations 
  • You'll partner with the Product team to become an expert in a specific product area, understanding requirements and building insights that answer common questions; enhance existing dashboards to increase impact, improving user experience and adoption, and measure the health of the business and provide essential visibility of our data to partners 
  • You will setup the framework and process for product managers to start forecasting product performance based on market conditions and product feature enhancements 
  • Explore data to find insights and make product recommendations through funnels, cohort analyses, and long-term trend investigations and Champion best practice experimentation methodology and analyze results 

 

 Requirements

  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience
  • BS degree in a quantitative discipline: computer science, statistics, applied  mathematics, operations research, engineering, economics 
  • Work experience where insights drove new feature development with positive results. 
  • Product AB testing.  Setting up and understanding results. 
  • Work experience in leading becoming data driven and tackling open ended problems 
  • Manipulating large datasets using SQL 
  • Love to get deep into the weeds with data and understand edge-cases and how to best represent them
