About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced .NET developer to be a productive member of the development team that is responsible for the technical design, development and maintenance of (parts of) the entire multi-tier web applications and interfaces of ParkNow

You will be working together with your colleagues on improving the architecture and ensuring that ParkNow’s products and services are of a high quality and perform as our customers expect.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in updating our core applications to modern coding standards and architectural practices. They will help drive us toward shared services to improve convergence between our disparate platforms. They will also have a keen eye for what is good for the future or ParkNow and our customer’s parking journey.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Writes code for PMG’s applications, interfaces with other applications and systems
  • Performs code review for the team
  • Estimates the work required for developing new features or fixing bugs
  • Actively participates in Chapter meetings (Demos)
  • Actively participates in Squad related meetings
  • Suggests new architectural patterns and principles
  • Conducts interviews for new candidates

 

Requirements

  • In depth knowledge and experience of programming .NET CORE applications
  • Experience applying multiple design patterns
  • Experience with C# and REST API’s and AWS
  • Expert in MS Visual Studio, SQL Server and MySQL
  • Have experience in developing microservices
  • Writing unit tests using NUnit, XUnit and Mocking frameworks
  • Experience with Dependency Injection and ORMs
  • Experience with continuous integration
  • Worked in an Agile software development environment
  • Ability to prioritise, manage and track multiple activities and tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communications, and experience upskilling or mentoring team members
  • Enthusiastic approach and “can-do” attitude
  • Resilient and able manage different stakeholders during technical change or migration processes

 

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience of source control software ideally GIT
  • Secure coding experience
  • Experience in cloud technologies
